STAFF and residents of Cavendish Park Care Home in Evesham raised a whopping £170 for Sports Relief by running or walking a combined half marathon in just one day.
Intrepid residents limbered up and wearing their step counting watches completed laps of the garden, clocking up those 13.2 miles with one resident clocking up almost a mile on her own.
Staff also ran or walked in their own time, all adding to the mileage.
One resident said: “I would never have thought that at the age of 92 I would take part in a half marathon!”
A spokesperson for the home said: “The team can feel truly fabulous and give themselves a well done pat on the back. Not all superheroes wear capes!
