Alan Coxon Joins Cavendish Park…
The amazing team at our Evesham care home, Cavendish Park Care Home have recently joined forces with world renowned celebrity chef Alan Coxon, to bring a once in a lifetime experience to the wonderful residents within the home. To help make this experience possible for the residents, Alan has been working alongside our incredibly talented Head Chef James Cotton, who is a current NACC Care Chef of the Year 2020 finalist!
Working alongside James, Alan has designed a monthly ‘Tuesday Special’ menu for James to create for the residents. This menu features a range of fine-dining dishes that have inspired Alan’s culinary career and to become the multi-award-winning chef that he is today.
Alan & James monthly ‘Tuesday Specials’
The first of Alan’s mouth-watering ‘Tuesday Specials’ saw James cook and present live for the residents’ enjoyment, a stunning French-inspired menu. Designed by Alan as a nod to his classic French training James produced a delicious and elegant three-course lunch comprising of French Onion Soup, followed by beautifully presented Confit de Canard and topped off with a delectable Floating Island!
The residents were invited to enjoy this incredible dining experience in one of the home’s beautiful dining rooms and whilst they tucked into their lunch Alan joined Cavendish Park LIVE all the way from his home in France, to talk through the history behind his dishes, entertaining the residents with amusing anecdotes from his career, and answering any questions.
When we asked Alan about the dining experience, he said
“It’s just wonderful to be able to bring a new experience to the residents. They have such rich history and fabulous stories to tell!
It’s an honour to have been asked to join Cavendish Park to help raise the awareness of the daily nutritionally balanced dining experience available in Care Homes”.

Our talented Head Chef James adapts each of his dishes to make sure that they are nutritionally balanced and accommodate the individual needs and requirements of each resident.
When asked about his passion for cooking James said “I love interacting with our residents and get such great enjoyment at being to recreate a dish that hold’s a special memory or is a particular favourite! It’s always great fun when the residents decided to get together and suggest a dish to challenge my culinary skills!
