Our award ceremony, A Night at the Cavvies, was fantastic. With red carpet rolled out, our guests arrived to champagne and canapes , a photo at our Cavendish photo wall, and entertainment from the truly amazing vintage singer, Julie Wood.

Home Manager Dan, decked out in full black tie, had the honour of reading out the nominations and awarding the ‘Cavvie’, a shining gold trophy to each worthy winner.

The nominations and winners were as follows;

Magical Memory Award – Paul Turvey,  Best Supporting Relative Award – Brenda Jones and Bev Churchill,  Above and Beyond Award- Kelly Smith, The Volunteers Award – Marion and John Ellis and Lesley and Neil Wade, Best Newcomer Award – Catherine Menzies, Best Visiting Professional Award – Gemma Davidson, The Unsung Hero Award – Debbie Wride, The Manager’s Best Supporting Role Award – Mel Hoskins, Best Supporting Carer Award – Sharon Payne, Best Carer Award – Julianne Horton, The Manager’s ‘Journey With’ Award – Charles Rand. And finally a special award, for her role as a Land Army Girl , The Lifetime Achievement Award  went to – Joy Pinder.
