So it has been 2 weeks since we opened our Memory Care Community, Chatsworth.

I have been thrilled with the transition of our existing residents which went very smoothly meaning that they settled into their new environment very quickly. It immediately felt like home, with such a warm and cosy atmosphere.

I am so pleased to welcome Paul on board as our Memory Care Lead, and he has been instrumental in creating the dedicated Chatsworth Team and embedding our Continue Being Me programme as part of the whole home approach and the Dementia Pathway.

We have also welcomed new residents locally and from as far away as Germany. It has been wonderful getting to know them and learning of their interesting histories. Among the new residents are two rabbits and a whole tank of fish who are proving very popular.

As Chatsworth continues to grow and thrive, I am very excited to see the community flourish further, as we form new relationships at home and out in the wider community. We have some exciting events and partnerships coming up, so I’ll keep you updated.
