My passion for creating an environment where people living with dementia can thrive, engage and continue living a life as the person they have always been, started very early on in my career.

I believe in discovering the person behind the dementia. Dementia doesn’t define a person; it is something that they live with. But living with dementia doesn’t mean the person that they always were isn’t still there. You just need to look harder to find them.

I am so excited to be announcing the opening of our brand-new Memory Care Community at Cavendish Park. Having previously put together a team that won Dementia Care Team of the Year and personally gaining a Dementia Leadership Award, and a GCPA Outstanding Contribution Award, I feel confident that the team we have at Cavendish Park will excel in providing outstanding person centred care for our residents.

With the support of an RMN and an experienced Dementia Lead, our aim is to provide the best dementia care in the region, benefiting from a combination of our state-of-the-art facilities and a broad wealth of knowledge from the Majesticare team. Using our Continue Being Me programme along with the Dementia Pathway, you can be confident that your loved one will continue to live a purposeful and meaningful life, within a safe and understanding environment.

So far since we opened in September 2019, my journey with the Cavendish Park family has been incredible and by working to our values as a committed, cohesive team, we have already achieved so much. Already award-winning and with a Carehome.co.uk score of 10/10, I cannot wait to see what 2020 brings.
