A Majesticare Wedding

Love is in the air at Majesticare…

Recently at Cavendish Park Care Home we were able to make one of our resident’s dreams come true in what is absolutely a Majesticare first!

The Cavendish Park team were privileged to be able to arrange and host our very first resident wedding! The family and the team worked tirelessly to make sure that everything was perfect for the magical day, from sourcing the bride’s favourite Andre Rieu music for her as she entered, to transforming the bistro into a stunning wedding chapel – Nothing was left to chance.

At 2 pm on Wednesday 2nd October, the beautifully resplendent bride Sue was accompanied by her dashing groom, Pete for their vows, and the Registrars Samantha Hickey and David Chambers who performed the ceremony, made sure there was not a dry eye in the house. They were funny and engaging and helped to ensure that this was a magical day.

The cake was lovingly made by our carer Kerry, our Receptionist Kelly provided the balloons and our Deputy Laura provided the bridesmaids bouquet and the rose petal aisle.

The couple were surrounded by their family and friends and following the ceremony the wedding party were treated to a sumptuous wedding breakfast all made by the wonderful Cavendish Park kitchen team.

Mel Hoskins (Customer Relations Manager) said “It was such a pleasure to be a part of hosting this wonderful event. It was a great team effort & we wanted to pull out all the stops to make sure Sue & Pete had a magical day”

Home Manager Dan Bridges said “Wow, I have never had a wedding in any care home that I have managed and to be part of this special occasion was just amazing.”
